Having good daily habits help you in all aspects of life. When you’re trying to build a life you love, learning how to practice good habits is a simple way to get started.
To help you with that, I’ve created a list of habits you should start to incorporate into your daily life. You don’t have to implement them all at once. Just try to pick one here and there until they become part of your daily routine.
- Have a regular bedtime and get up early in the morning (if possible);
- Drink plenty of water each day and a big glass after waking up (before your morning coffee);
- Don’t skip breakfast;
- Carry a reusable water bottle everywhere;
- Eat whole foods the majority of the time (but give your body its cravings too);
- Create a morning routine that sets you up for success;
- Go meatless at least once a week (you can find lots of yummy vegan/vegetarian recipes on Pinterest);
- Exercise regularly. It’s good for your body and improves your mental health as well;
- Practice self-care daily, even if it’s just 10 minutes;
- Have a daily walk in nature. Improves your physical and mental health;
- Practice daily meditation;
- Smile at strangers and compliment them;
- Make a daily to-do list and stay focused on your top 3 priorities;
- Learn a new skill or find a new hobby whenever you have the opportunity;
- Be consistent. Consistency is the key to success;
- Stop waiting for the perfect time. Just start doing whatever you’ve always dreamed about if you have the opportunity;
- Don’t skip your skincare routine;
- Get out of your comfort zone whenever you can. Try new things;
- Read every day;
- Make your health a priority;
- Keep a daily journal. Write down your thoughts and feelings. Also, keep a gratitude journal;
- Simplify your life. Less is more;
- Create a budget every month and stick to it;
- Wear sunscreen daily;
- Keep your house clean (tidy space=tidy mind);
- Learn to say “no” and be true to yourself;
- Spend time with your loved ones and constantly remind them how important they are to you;
- Smile to yourself when you look in the mirror;
- Practice positive affrimations;
- Be mindful while eating a meal without looking at your phone or TV;
- Go on a small trip/adventure whenever you have the possibility;
- Always write down your ideas and dreams and work hard to make them happen. Believe in yourself;
- Listen to self-improvement podcasts;
- Grow plants;
- Have fun with your friends while you’re young;
- Be grateful for your life.
